Myanmar exported cut-make-pack (CMP) garments worth $384 mn in April this year, according to the Myanmar Garment Manufacturers Association.
It earned $1.551 billion in fiscal 2022-2023 (ending March 31) from CMP garment exports.
Garments worth $200 million were exported to Thailand and China, while exports to Europe by sea were worth $184 million.

The country is home to 505 garment factories, 48 footwear factories, eight wig manufacturers and other 177 factories engaged in the manufacturing bags, sports suits, sports shoes and socks.
